As it remains a working farm, no matter what the time of year, there are TONS of fun things to do! The pond’s there for fishing or skating, the hill’s there for sledding or hay rides, the loft’s there for building your very own hay bail fort. Located in picturesque Chautauqua County, there is also plenty of small town spirit to enjoy. The Ames Farm continues today as a working farm, however managing through a transition from prior dairy operations to, well, what's next?
The fields continue to be rented by neighboring dairy farmers as we work to transition the barns and pastures for potential next uses. Farms are a commercial operation, so we'll be working to get them back to revenue generation.
Join us! Anyone who steps foot on the Ames Farm quickly embraces its charm - and inherently becomes a part of its enduring legacy. Come feast around the dining room table, enjoy the front porch breeze or climb the hill for the sunset. Maybe drive tractor. (Pardon the poor English) There is always something to do at the farm, so come gather.
